Senior Support Worker – Between Swansea and Pontarddulais at Beech Tree Farm and Graig Y Bedw - Hourly Rate:  £12.80 to £13.70 dependent on qualifications and experience - Full-time: 45.5 hours per week.  (Temporary maternity cover)

A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare involves: 

• Providing leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best individual care practice and optimal outcomes for the children and young people.  

• Improving the quality of life of the children and young people who live in the home including preparing healthy meals. 

• Promoting the rights of the children and young people to be treated with dignity and respect in every aspect of their lives. 

• Establishing supportive relationships with the individuals in your care and encourage the development of stable relationships between the children and young people, and other staff, and their families and friends. 

• Ensuring that all care plans, key-working files and care files are updated and accurate and maintained. 

• Supporting the staff team in their role of keyworker and facilitate training as required. 

To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare, you’ll need: 

• QCF Level 3 is essential or working towards. 

• A can-do attitude, caring and reliable nature. 

• Compassion and empathy. 

• Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice. 

• A strong work ethic. 

• Excellent communication. 

• Ability to work flexibly. 

• Hold a current valid driver’s license. 

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
